At SJM we promote the recognition and dignity of domestic and care work and accompany women workers to defend their rights and end the double discrimination they suffer.

We seek equality for women working in this sector through meeting spaces, workshops on labour rights, empowerment and training dynamics, and guidance and mediation in labour and legal matters, always from a networking perspective.

Over the years we have accompanied women and groups of domestic and care workers, we have observed a serious violation of the fundamental rights of migrant women in this sector. Underlying these situations is a deeper social problem that is based on underestimating domestic and care work, and on considering it as a role exclusive to women.
